Ants are the most common nuisance pest in the Seattle area. Our natural ant service covers many types of ants, including odorous house ants (often called sugar ants), pavement ants, and harvester ants.
Unless you’re specially trained, finding the source of an ant problem can be tricky since nests come in a variety of shapes and sizes and often hide under foliage or tucked inside walls. With all these variables, most people have trouble solving an ant problem on their own.
How we control ants naturally
Our “biology-first” approach focuses on long-term solutions that respect your home and the local environment:
- Identification First: The first step is always identifying the pest, as control measures differ from species to species.
- Comprehensive Inspection: We inspect the interior and exterior of your home to check for entry points and pheromone trails.
- Targeted Removal: We destroy any visible nests or trails to provide immediate relief.
- Eco-Friendly Barrier: We typically apply a perimeter application of an eco-friendly powder and/or spray, as well as targeting nests directly.
- Strategic Baiting: When necessary, we place non-repellent baits in strategic locations or habitat. These are placed to avoid contact with pets and kids while ensuring the largest number of worker ants carry the solution back to the queen.
- Prevention Coaching: We’ll recommend changes you can make to reduce attractants; prevention is the most eco-friendly type of pest control.
What You Can Do to Control Ants
What you can do to control ants
- Store food in airtight containers.
- Wipe down countertops daily with a 50/50 vinegar and water solution to erase pheromone trails.
- Keep pet food out of reach by creating a “moat” in a shallow pie plate of water.
- Prune plants so they’re at least 1 foot away from the house to remove “ant highways.”
⚠️ A Note on Carpenter Ants
Carpenter ants are much larger than sugar ants and can cause significant structural damage by tunneling through wood. Please note that we do not treat for carpenter ants, but if we find evidence of them during our inspection, we will gladly refer you to a trusted local specialist who can help.
The PNW Challenge: Why Ants Invade Seattle Homes
In the Pacific Northwest, our heavy seasonal rains are a primary driver for ant activity. When the ground becomes oversaturated in the spring and fall, subterranean nests flood, forcing colonies to seek higher, drier ground. This usually means your crawl space or kitchen walls.
Furthermore, many “quick-fix” hardware store sprays actually make the problem worse. When sugar ants detect certain harsh chemicals, the colony enters a defensive state called “budding,” where the queen splits the nest into multiple new colonies to ensure survival. Our methods are designed to avoid this trap and neutralize the source.
Reviews About Our Ant Pest Control Service In Seattle, Everett, Bellingham And The Nearby Towns
This review about our ant pest control service came from the Seattle area:
Parker has been our go-to for monthly maintenance for a couple of years now. Everyone we’ve worked with has been fantastic — Chris, Jose, Timothy. We like that they use eco friendly products, especially since we have dogs. We recently had an ant infestation. It was something we had never experienced before and it seemed to go from bad to really bad overnight. Parker was great about getting us on the schedule immediately with visits in between our maintenance appointments. It’s taken a little more than two months and several treatments to get under control but I’m hoping that we’ve finally rounded a corner as of their last visit.

Here is another from Seattle:
Kevin from Parker Eco Pest Control recently helped us address some ants we were seeing in our home. We signed up for their quarterly service, as we have a toddler and dog that like to make messes, and so we figured it would be best to stay on top of the issue as much as possible. We had mentioned we noticed wasps in our backyard but hadn’t noticed any nests. After spraying for ants, Kevin told us that he was able to find a wasps nest in the eaves on the front of our house that we had not previously noticed. He took it down and treated it as well. Kevin was helpful and professional, and overall we were very pleased with this first experience with the company!

This review about ant service came from the Everett area:
Excellent service! We have used their quarterly ant spraying at two separate locations and it has been a great experience. Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable, and very experienced. Isaiah is the technician who usually services our house and he is wonderful. He’s always on time or even early (!!) for our appointments and explains his findings and treatment plan. I highly recommend this company.

This review about sugar ants came from the Bellingham area:
I had sugar ants in the house a while back and Parker quickly eliminated them using pet/child safe chemicals. They also inspected the house looking for any evidence of other pests and also treated for spiders. Every employee is very friendly, trustworthy, respectful and knowledgeable! We particularly have Jose come to do maintenance service since ants are persistent – he is awesome and forms a relationship with clients. The schedulers are really great as well – making it easy to setup appointments. I highly recommend this 5 Star company!!!! They take great care of us!

Yes. Your family’s health is our priority. We use low-toxicity, botanical-based products to eliminate and place baits in “low-access” areas like behind appliances or inside wall voids where pets and curious hands can’t reach them.
Generally, no. Because we focus on targeted applications rather than “foggants” or broad-spectrum sprays, you can remain in your home comfortably while we work.
